Have a good one Pro. Cali is especially beautiful this time of year...I am envious.

Southern California, sure. Not so sure about San Francisco right now. It's going to be a blazing 60 degrees today. If you think wind and fog is beautiful, well then yes, San Francisco is quite beautiful this time of year. Our summer starts in August. Anyway, have fun wherever you are MountainPro.

He's not coming north. I offered him my extra bike and everything - he made some excuse about his wife's family but I think the truth is he's scared of my sprint and political acumen.

Why did you decide on Cali given all of the destinations avail. to you? Have friends & or family over there? Just wondering. I lived in S. Cali for a couple of years myself (San Diego). Very nice out that way; to be sure, if I don't mind saying so myself, all things being equal, as it were . Right then. [I like to type & the board seems to be in a sort of "doldrum's" as of late.] Hurry back MP

I'm missing you already. Don't forget to wear a safety harness if you have the family working at a height greater than 2 metres. Not going via South Madagascar are you?

What a choice ! As a Scot you should have gone to Huskey's land. Much more agreeable. What are you going to do in Cali. There's no rain, no midges, and it's always sunny. You'll be bored witless in a few days.

Well if you are still around and "reading the mail" let me say that I for one will miss your humor (dry that it be) and, yes, even Scots have one.
Have a good visit in "Shakey Town".
Bon Voyage

yeah, the TDF has zilch coverage over there...if you subscribe to OLN then you get some but thats it...(thank god for eurosport.com) ...seems a shame since thier man is making history over here and most Americans dont know and dont care...

the sunburn is all peeling off now and i am disappointed that i am still a pinkish-white shade underneath...

did some surfing down at Huntington Beach, CA...brilliant.

it all kicked off when i was away...the G8 summit, riots accross the country, bombings....it all falls apart when i am not there to hold it together,

by bro was saying that the skies were full of chinook and apache helicopters as the world leaders were transported from our local airport to Gleneagles. Bush had a small helicopter surrounded by 6 chinooks and a couple of apache gunships flying very low across out town...

all i can say is that America isn big emough for me and Bush...when he heard i was coming to town he mysteriously had to go to Scotland...
