'It is just one of those re-occurring things. I hope this doesn't come true in our country. Maybe the film will awaken people to the situation of how dangerous it is.' "

the White House chief political strategist (Sith Lord Rove) has had quite the hand in the formation of Justice Priscilla R. Owen of the Texas Supreme Court, one of the Bush nominees to a federal appeals court at the center of the partisan battle in the Senate over changing the filibuster rules.

Lewis cites "three crucial moments in her judicial career in which she seemed to have been guided by the hand of Karl Rove."

For instance, Owen was "a respected but little-known lawyer in Houston in 1994 when she was first elected to the State Supreme Court with Mr. Rove's support and tutelage."

Yes, this is true. The war on terror reminds me of the Stalinist war against wreckers, Trotskyists and capitalists. It projected fear into the public mind and then removed freedoms in order to counter the imagined fear.

I haven't seen the movie, nor will I. George Lucas is a sell out and the fact the there is 'anti- Bush' stuff in the movie is just pathetic.

I guess when the plot and acting of his horrible movie(s) is so unbearable, he has to resort to weak tactics making fun of the president.

I love how politics are starting to engulf every aspect of life

One would think that a forum member w/ a beer, dressed in a jersey, for an avatar wouldn't be so uptight Political Satire must have a kernal of truth to have any impact & that is what Lucas's movie has. Are you one of the people who is in the gang of "Bush hasn't made any mistakes". (calculated or otherwise)

Lucas is taking advantage of the FACT that the best way to talk to the American public is to do it through the movies. Americans in general do not understand the complexities of war or corruption of government. Last November proved that point. Lucas breaks it down into situations and scenarios that the public will understand (albeit subconciously)..into bite sized chunks of SciFi.

This has proven to work.

Precisely I don't need this readily available, info. "spoon-fed" to me. The Admin.'s transgressions were/are plain enough for 1/2 of the voting public to see & they cast their ballot's accordingly in the "nay" .
