My xtr rd just broke and I would like to know if its possible to use shimano 105 rd instead of any mtb rd. I have 9 spd Xt shifters and ofcourse nonroad cassette.

It depends on what cassette you are using. If the derailleur is not long enough it will not work on a 32 or 34 tooth cassette.
