Hi everyone,
I have just started cycling and have just installed a look style pedal on my flat bar road bike. I have just gone for 10km, and my feet is hurting badly right where the arch is. Anyone know why? Is this due to the cleat positioning? Or the shoe? Anyone have similar experiences? Thanks Thomas CHo |

One suggestion I have is to adjust your cleat in different positions in its sideway axis,as I found if mine is too close or too far to the bottom bracket could creat some discomfort. So experiment with this first.Hope it helps.

Are you using the RED Look Arc cleats of the black ones? I found the black ones a pain to set up and changed to the Arc cleats and have never had a problem again.

I ran a search of this forum on foot pain (which I should have done before posting this), and realised that perhaps my shoes are too narrow. However, I will try and experiment with the cleat positioning.
Surprisingly, its the black cleats which give me less pain than the red ones. I will try and adjust the cleats to be at the ball of my foot and in line with the axis of the pedal. Hope that the pain goes away. Thanks for all your replies. |

might be worth seeing a podiatrist for a check up. I had similar problems - due to having fallen arches. Now I wear orthotic inserts in my cycling shoes - it also fixed my knee problems at the same time. |
