Townsville to Cairns Charity Ride

The Children's Cancer Institute Australia ride from Townsville to Cairns is on again.

Planning has started early this year because we are expecting more riders and dont want a last minute rush.

Some details are:

From Townsville, North Queensland. To Cairns, Far North Queensland.
Distance: 350km
Dates:
Wednesday 27 July. Pre ride admin. Hand in funds raised, collect jersey, load baggage.
Ride: Thursday 28 July to Saturday 30 July 2005 inclusive, ie 3 days.
Stages:
Day 1. Townsville to Ingham, 110km
Day 2. Ingham to Innisfail, 150km
Day 3 Innisfail to Cairns, 90km
Sunday 31 July 1000 AM. Bus returns to Townsville.

Fully catered, basic accommodation in Community Halls.
Reasonable luggage limit.
Minimum age 14 y.o. with responsible adult.
Ride in a group according to your ability. From 15 -20 kmh
group and increasing by 5kmh up to the 35 kmh ++ group.

Entry Fee: $175 ( earlybird discount )
Return transport to Townsville on 31 July: $25
Fund Raising Minimum: $ 250

Volunteer drivers/ support crew $50 the lot.

Last year 2 riders came over from from New Zeland and they had a great time. Hope we can get more this year.

ALL money raised goes to The Children's Cancer Institute Australia for research.
