Unhappy cannondale shoe

l have a pair of cannondale mtb shoes with spd clips which are good for commuting ,but give me pain during spin class, (lot of climbing )
l can feel the pedal thru the sole mainly on the right foot...ouch!
Is there anything l can do to stop this??
thanks M
