Default Hello from a newbie

This is a repost, as I placed my first thread in the wrong area. Anyhow...

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum, and just recently reborn into the cycling world. I bought my first MTB just before Xmas, only to have it stolen from my garage not 2 weeks later. If it weren't for this, I'd have a good 3 months riding experience in the bag. So the 2 short rides I managed to have on it is all I can boast about.

I am currently waiting for the insurance company to replace the stolen bike. Meanwhile, I will hang around here to pick up some tips and heads-up for locations of good MTB riding.

If there are groups in here who don't mind dragging along a not-so-experienced rider every now and then, please give us a yell. I'm not totally inexperienced, as I spent my early days pushing a freestyle BMX for some years. And the last 10 years on a sports motorbike... but it's not quite the same, I know.

Anyhow, enough from me. Look out for some newbie questions coming from my direction.

Ed
I am currently waiting on a Specialized Hardrock to be delivered. Then I'm off for some ridin'. Can anyone recommend any easy'ish trails near Sydney.

Thanks.

Wellcome Ed- just a comment on yor stolen bike, seems garages and sheds are the new soft targets for the light fingers, I have to keep both my bikes in the house (has alarm ) which is a pain at times but at least they get a good clean after each ride. Insurance payout delays are a sad joke ,what cost for the lost summer of trails . Enjoy the new ride.
