My bike has 26x1.95 tyres. It came with either 1.9 or 1.95 sized tubes them (can't remember which). When I ask bike shops for tubes, they hand me 1.75 sized tubes. These don't fit. Why do they all give me them? I tell them the tyre is loose aound these tubes, and then they casually give me 26x2.125. This works, but, is it ideal? Why don't they know this? Why don't they care? Where can I find a replacement tube the same size as the original? I choose to go to bike stores in the hope that they can advise me, but, it seems all that I've tried in the Melbourne CBD can't provide me with the correct tube, which is disappointing. Can anyone tell me of a good one in the Melbourn metro area, where they'll treat even my basic questions without contempt?

I use 1.75" tubes in tyres from 1.9" to 2.1" regularly and even upto 2.35". If the tyre is loose around the tube you need to put some more air in.

As the Other Poster said. A 1.75 tube will fit your tyres. I also use these in tyres from 1.5 to 2.25 wide.
