Interesting, cheers. Just one plea: could you please alter that horrible
top frame? It takes up so much of the space that there's no room for a
decent amount of text!

Cheers,

Arthur

Which start are you planning to use? I'll be doing it depending largely
on status of bikes and fitness. I'm hoping that my second generation
recumbent will be rolling nicely soon, at which point I start getting
the miles in on it. I was trying to explain the appeal to my colleagues
at lunch yesterday, but was met with a sea of blank stares. :-)

Definitely. I said last year that I would do some Audax, and I didn't.
I've now joined AUK and have even got some provisional agreement from
SWMBO, but I don't think she's realised how much time might be involved
yet.

- I'm planning to do some non-competitive long distance events this
year.
- That sounds interesting.
- London-Edinburgh-London for instance.
- Oh, that sounds like a long way. How long will it take.
- Umm, about 3 or 4 days.
- Oh, that's not so bad then.

:-)

And six months for the training ;-)

The trick with my family is to make sure it gets onto the calender in good
time. I've basically picked most of the saturday Audaxes within easy
distance of home (only about 3 ;-() so will start off with some 100's and
progress to 200's by the end of the year. The scary one is the one with no
AAA points but 1400m climbing in 100 km.

I'm also planning to do Pedal for Scotland with Igor (the tandem) and Rachel
(the daughter), if she wants to go.

Me. Mrs MSeries is aware of the time it'll take and she is OK with that.
I'll start in sunny Donny (thats Thorne BTW)

No, PBP 2007 remains my goal, if I complete that I may consider LEL 2009

I'd like to do PBP 2007 too, as long as LEL 2005 doesn't cure me.

If LEL05 and preparation for it go well I'll then aim for PBP07

I'm interested in the 800km LEL event but hard to find out about it.
What 600's are folk doing to prepare for LEL? (you don't have to ride
one unlike PBP but a good idea) the only one I ever rode has gone now.

Thinking of Poole (14/05) and Denmead (18/06).
