Done about 7k on my new Dawes Galaxy Tour - about 30% off road (tracks
and trails like High Peak etc, not mountain biking). Also including
LEJOG with full heavy camping gear. Best bike I've ever had. One broken
spoke (when full loaded at speed over a bump) so maybe other comments
about Dawes wheels are relevant. One set brake pads. Braking excellent
even when full load down steep hills. Very comfortable, very reliabe.
Feels fast and sporty without the camping gear.
If I was spending £1500 I'd buy Dawes Galaxy Tour AND Dawes Audax for
best of both worlds. Just about do-able if you wait for the special
offers which come around pretty often.

cheers

Jacob
