Default Parking at Manchester Velodrome

Can anyone tell me what the position is re parking for spectators at the
above. (World Track Cup in less than two weeks).

I used to go regularly and there was plenty of undeveloped land just a
minutes walk away.

They were not letting spectators use the Velodrome car park at that time.

What is the position today - is it still free ?

Andy

I went to Revo 6 and it was free to park to the side of the 'drome, on
the left through the gates. Not sure if it'll fill up quickly though.
Other folks were using the Asda car park next door. Competitors and
officials park round the back.

Andy,
The velodrome has quite a bit of parking space, although I noticed the other day that the car park next to the rear (competitors) entrance was full of large blue steel containers.
I don't think the number of spectators at the World Cup will be as great as at the Revolution meetings and so if you get there reasonably early, you will be able to park on the free velodrome car parks without too much difficulty.
I don't know how long it is since you have been to the velodrome but the "undeveloped" land is now covered by Manchester City's football ground, some posh apartments and an enormous Asda/Walmart superstore!
Have fun!

That was pretty fast reply - thanks. Is the Asda store on the plot where we
used to park - dead opposite the velodrome ?

I'd be a little wary about parking on the Asda car park as they have got clamping notices all over the place! I think that they are more bothered about their car park being used by football supporters when Manchester City are playing at home. I have just checked, there is no football on that weekend, I am very pleased to say. When there is, it is a deadful struggle getting to the velodrome.
You will be fine on the velodrome car parks....trust me!
I'll be there every day!

They use the car-park at the velodrome then over-spill into the ASDA
car-park if needed. Looks like the WC won't be as busy as the Rev. I'd
love to be there, but it's not a great time of year...

Regards!
Stephen
