Default cycle touring cuba

Anybody out there cycled Cuba in July- August. My husband and I are planning on 8 weeks or so in Cuba next year but are a bit worried that it might be a too hot in July and August (which is when I can take leave).

We are from Melbourne, Australia so are used to very hot summers (30 - 40 deg C) but are not to keen on the humidity. Are the mornings/evenings cool enough to ride in - one can always languish on a beach during the heat of the afternoon. And is it pleasantly cool in the mountain (well, hilly, areas).
Thanks to anyone out there with relevant experience in Cuba.

(We spent 8 weeks cycling from Perth to Albany in Western Australia last summer. Absolutely perfect weather - high 20's during the afternoons, pleasantly warm the rest of the day, chilly at night, one day of rain)

Personally, I don't have any experience, but I have contacted the local Cubans and I have been confirmed that temperatures can range between 28 to 34 deg C, and most lilkely to be humid and rainy from May to September.

There was a report on a Cuban tour in the September 04 issue of Cycling Plus magazine. If you're interested on that and don't have the mag, contact me and I can email it to you.
