Well, I got into Unicycles about 2 years ago and since I work at a bike shop I was able to build the ultamate unicycle. A guy in my home town builds these (dirtuni.com) and they are desinged specifically to fit a 3.0" tire for serious off roading. There are diferent wheel size models. Mine is a 26". By the way, since I know you will be wondering, this bad boy retails for about $700 as is. Take a look! Even got a pic with me on it:

I have done some serious single tack on it as well as lots of messing around in the park riding up and down slopes. Havn't gotten the sairs mastered yet. ![]()

I saw a special about two guys on off road unicycles. I think they were doing some tour through China if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while since I saw it.
Anyway, they were pulling off some amazing stunts. One in particular was when they were going down a long hill and they took both feet off the pedals and rested them on top of the forks and coasted all the way down. I guess they controlled their speed with the hellrad handbrakes. I wish I could find a copy of that program. |
