Howdy all,
I'm a sprinter...got an Alu CSK sprint frame...best time 10.9 sealevel rough concrete. I'm looking for a new frame...so far only options are Corima Cougar and Look...although price is a problem with both. Can the sprinters out here tell me what they use, what they like, what they hate. As much as possible! You'll help me out a lot...save me a lkot of money and hassles! |

I've gone from Steel to Ali to Carbon.
Steel are great cos they last forwver and have some natural flex in the material. Ali are very stiff but if you use them for all training and racing, and stress the bike continuously, the material weakens and it'l lride like a plastic frame. Corima's are rather heavy, but extremely stiff. if you can get ur hands on a second hand version ,then this will be a safer investment than Ali and last longer. Incidentally, I heard that over time the Carbon frames stiffen up so you may end up with a better machine than when new! |

Yeh not too happy with heavy frame as I'm fairly light (70kg), but it might do the trick. At the mo I have a CSK sprint alu frame...it's great, extremely stiff (nearly too stiff..???) The problem I have with it is that I can't get high top speed out of it as I can from even a steel bike!
What about the Look? The only problem is, it's a bit out of my price range ![]() |
