Hello,
In December me, my wife and our little girl will come to Australia (arriving in Sydney) and we would like to do some tandem touring for about a month. We will bring our own paniers, but will need racks on the bike. Bringing our tandem (a recumbent fully suspended carbon one I build myself, shown in the picture) is a bit difficult. We have to take a bike trailer for my daughter (aged 1.5), and togeher with the other luggage that is rather a lot to travel with. If I can not find a decent tandem near Sydney I may have to bite the bullet and take our bike, but I had rather have not to. We may take 40 kg on the flight, and bike and trailer weigh 35 together. So that leaves 5 for panniers, camping gear and all other stuff..... I am looking for shops where I can rent a tandem, or buy one (preferably second hand) and sell it back afterwards. The only adress I found up to know is the pegasus crew in Brighton (Melbourne). Any good tips for the Sydney area? Thanks for all help. Merijn The Netherlands |
