I'm looking at getting into mtb endurance events, specifically the 24hr events, i was wondering if there is anyone out there who could tell me about a good training programme for the event, and also if anyone knows a website they could show me that would tell me about when and where the events are held??
That would be great!! Cheers Jon |

I'm in Melbourne, so this might not help :
http://www.fullgaspromotions.com.au/dirtcrits.html I'm no expert but I reckon the best training for endurance MTB is time on your bike, nothing beats it. I've also found that cross training with running & swiming helps, but can't go past time on the bike. It's hard to get the time aside to do 6hr+ on a bike, so it would be resonable to train with 3hr rides on average. Maybe doing a loop course that takes mroe than 40mins per lap. |
