Question Anso (Pyrrenees) - looking for profile

Hi,
I have recently cycled through the roads of Spain and I am looking for a detailed profile of the hardest climb I have done there - Anso (west to east). Does anyone has it? or has any idea how to get it?
Thanks,
Itsik

thnx a lot, this is most helpful. I did find many climbs I have cycled through, and the figures make me feel quite good , but Anso seems to be missing .

It is a mountain pass, unmarked, on the border between Navarra and Huesca (districts in the Spanish Pyrrenees). The road east from the village Roncal climbs to this pass, then down to the village Anso (and after another climb to the village Echo). It is about 30-40 km north west of the town Jaca of Huesca.

The climb as viewed back from the pass:

And the other side:

The road is quite bad, lots of gravel, but still good enough for road bikes. The climb was more difficult than any other I have seen, about 10km of real hard work without a soul around except for a single MTB rider (must have thought I was mad) and a car or two.

If I have a question like yours I search for tourist web sites of the nearest town, region or country in which that place is and then I send them an email! In most of cases I got the answer because that`s in their behalf, of course! Tourism is big business these days

I found turist site of Aragon with contact form! I`m sure they will answer you!

By the way I found that road in Microsoft AutoRoute express, but only thing written about it is its mark: na-176! Maybe that can help you..

Nice! So you must have cycled through places I can only dream of at the moment - those hills are said to be beautiful, but for me even the Moon is closer.

Indeed, the Negev is an incredible place, day and night. All roads are scenery there! By the end of this month I intend to do the whole country in one day -560 km of roads, 1/3 of it through the Negev deserts.

My Hebrew is non existent now, and it wasn't very good before. Of course I don't how old you are, but did you learn English at school, or did your parents speak good English, and make you learn!! I remember seeing a Road Race once, the riders were climbing on the road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I was on the bus. Is there much Road Racing in Israel now with what goes on, you know long distance stuff, or is it closed circuit town centre racing?
Litraout....Peter
Even though I am a member of the Cycling Federation, I am not into racing. I do read about the races and hear from friends: There is no indoor track, and no city races or "looping". Most races are on relatively flat terrain and quite short and boring IMO. They used to race on Golan Heights which are quite demanding - topography and winds challenges. I have never heard of a race to Jerusalem - would love to do it! The old road to Jerusalem (Probably not the one you have seen) is *the* climb in Israel, I believe. There are others which are as steep but much shorter, and this one is tricky, with changing slopes, very steep, and beautiful view. BTW, there are plenty of cyclists in the Negev now and even some cafes, but the real traffic jam (and packed cafes) are somewhere between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, every Satureday morning...
I am 41 yo. My English comes from my late parents (who were not native speakers) and my English speaking friends. I also used to work with many English speakers, and read and write a lot (mostly professional documents & books).
