My GF is interested in buying some MTB shoes (Women's Sidi Rockets) via mail order, but I haven't been able to find a Sidi sizing chart.
She's an 8.5 US. Anyone know Euro equivalent? (I'm thinking 40) Also, do Sidi's run normal in sizing (narrow/wide/etc)? Thanks. |

Here's a link to shoe size chart from Shimano http://bike.shimano.com/Footwear_Pe...Chart/index.asp and I find Sidi shoes to be on the narrow side, at least the mens are. |

Thanks... I've looked at that chart, but at least w/ mens, it didn't match up to my normal shoe sizing. I actually have a pair of Shimanos, and according to the chart, I should be a solid 42, but they're too big (41 fits perfect). So, is there no designation to between mens and womens in euro?? That shimano chart seems to suggest that. Last edited by chimivee : 04-09.-2004 at 08:11 PM. |

Hmmmm... Well, I just looked at a couple pairs of her street shoes, both of which are womens 8.5US, but one is 38.5 euro, and the other 40 2/3. Dunno. But, you're right, she should probably find some Sidis to try on. |

It didn't match up for me either. The chart indicates that 8.5 Women sizes up with 41. I usually wear 8 or 8.5US but all my Euro sized shoes are 39. I just checked all my bike shoes and they are 39. I think 40 is probably about right for a consistent 8.5US. You're better off having your GF try stuff on at the stores but good luck finding Women's versions of SIDI's. If your GF is looking for a narrow fit, I recommend Specialized. |

I wear a 8.5 wide shoe, a 37 burkenstock, a 40 nahot, a 39 Dansk.
I could never buy a shoe mail order unless I knew the fit of the shoe. Good luck. ![]() |

Sizes: The Specialised Web Page has a drop down box giving all the size comparisons:
"Womens' Shoe Sizes Euro U.S. UK 36 6 5 37 7 6 38 7.5 * 6.5 * 39 8.5 * 7.5 * 40 9 8 41 10 9 42 10.5 * 9.5 * "

I have worn many different European-sized brands of cycling shoes and absolutely nothing is consistent about the sizing. You must try on a pair. I wear a women's US size 6 and have worn anything from a 36 to a 38.5.
I currently have Sidi Dominators and Genius. The 38 fits me like a glove and gives me great control and connection with the pedal, but it doesn't give me much "swell" room. During the summer, I have to wear 38.5. I should add that I have somewhat narrow feet with a very high instep. Go find a pair somewhere to try on. |

sidis have small toe boxes. I cannot wear them - but if I did, my 7.5-8 foot would wear a 39.5 sidi - hope that helps.
