Can any one help?
Browsing through the net looking for an old friend of mine called Robin Povall who I went to school with in the late 60's. Sadly my search took me to your forum and a lengthy thread discussing the circumstances surrounding the death of a serving officer in Dorset Police called Robin Povall. I also read an obituary on a police memorial site. It appears that Robin was cycling home from work in March 2003 when he was hit by someone driving a Nissan Micra. He would be the same age as my schoolfriend and he also hailed from Barmouth in N Wales as the Robin I knew did originally. When I knew Robin he lived in Rowner near Gosport where his father was a dentist in the Royal Navy. The school we both attended between 1967 and 1971 was HMS Conway in Anglesey, a pre sea training school where the majority of boys took up careers as officers in either the Royal Navy or Merchant Navy. Can anyone confirm if the two Robins are one and the same? Please drop me an email if you can cast any light on this. Thanks robtubb@anfieldroad.fsnet.co.uk |
