Default Track cycling gloves

Any suggestions on the best gloves to use for track sprinting?

Brands?

Cheers

I use football gloves. make sure that use receiver of running back gloves, not lineman gloves. super sticky palms really grip the bar and they make them nice and snug as far as fit goes. a gauntlet closure around the wrist assures that they won;t come off in a crash

Thanks but can't get them in NZ. Kind of thing I'd like to "try before buy"! Any other suggestions?

tuff griptonite are short fingered (not sure if thats what you want) but they grip like anything when new and don't look too bad either. About 45 aussie dollars.

Golf gloves are too thin in the palms i find, and the rest of the glove is quite delicate as well. Won't hold up in a crash in my opinion. Maybe you could try batting gloves for baseball/softball, long fingered, built a little better than a golf glove, but still on the delicate side i think.

i was gonna say golf gloves too. i have never used them but know of others who have. They are awesome for grip and feel but they do tend to wear a little bit quickly and aren't really much use for protection in a fall. They do definitely help for grip when doing starts or low speed acceleration though, when heaps of grip is needed.
