Default Southern Vets Melbourne

Im thinking of joining come spring. Took up riding last year and looking at new challenges. I average 50-150km per week. will I be humiliated ? any feedback welcome

Just do it!....Vets racing, is, as the name suggests, for vets, I think the age minimum for males is 35. Most of their races will be 'graded scratch', which means you are put into a grade according to your ability, not age. So you can start in say 'D' or 'E' grade if that's where you're 'at' & work your way up, (if you desire, theres plenty that are quite happy to have a race in 'D' grade once per week & stay there). Racing will be a mixture of 'scratch' & handicaps, (where the weaker riders actually get a head start over a defined distance). There'll be plenty of crits thrown in & they also have 'age' championships (where you are 'graded' according to age)......bite the bullet, & just do it....you'll never regret it & you'll make a heap of new mates that obviously have similar interests....

....actually, I only just woked out what you guys were on about....I hadn't noticed the date....it was ranked 2nd behind our 'sticky', I thought it was a new post...hadn't noticed the date until just now....weird!
