Germany has some kick ass bike and PT systems! Bike lanes here in Munich
run everywhere a road or footpath does and they are a decent size. Italy is insane - Iäd be scared in a car let alone a bike! The bikes aren,t all cool like most of ours.. just for commuting mostlz I guess.. some real ****ters ![]() MANY people have those trekking bars in Munich. In case zou are wondering what the hell I am doing online instead of something touristy.. lets just say, free `net plus drinking from many 1L beer glasses with a bunch of aussies you found in a beer hall on the other side of the world can lead to some nasty feelings the next day! :P alfidezen (or something) zee hippy P.S. Where are all the bike shops in these places?!?! Ive only found 2 here - none in Rome, Florence or Venice.. If anyone has the addresses of any shops in Berlin.. i#ll be there tomorrow.. prices seem higher than oz generally... -- |

If you want to see some touring bike + camping / trekking gear get yourself out to Globetrotter.de - catch the UBahn out to Rathaus-Steglitz(sp?) It's about 2 shops down from the lift up from the metro. We never saw any other bike shops in Berlin, but didn't look very hard. The bratwurst in a bun outside the (name?) central station are excellent! have fun, -kt -- Kingsley Turner, (mailto: kingsley@maddogsbreakfast.com.au) http://MadDogsBreakfast.com/ABFAQ - news:aus.bicycle Frequenly Asked Questions |

Look 'behind' the shops, as youre used to seeing them here. organised so that the parking and many shop fronts are out the back of the street and the street is left to the mad traffic (just dont mention the war :-P ) how many bikes have you bought so far?
