My guess: Kloden and Ullrich take out Basso on the TT.
1. Armstrong 2. Kloden 3. Ullrich Good showing for T-Mobile. Basso gets 4th. Landis takes an offer with another team. And Azevedo? Leipheimer goes back to Postal (err, I mean Discovery). Armstrong goes for 7. Karpets takes White. Where does Merckx Jr. go? Wild prediction: Hamilton goes back to Postal (Discovery). What's the CSC strategy for next year? So who do you think will podium and who makes the strangest team change? And who're next year's threats? Screw your better judgment and lay it out!

Armstrong, Kloden and Basso. Can't see Jan making up enough time unless he pulls off a big stage 18.

I agree exactly, Kloden will easily make up the time he needs for 2nd in the TT over Basso, and Basso will not lose enough time on Jan to drop to 4th. I think Jan lost his chance at a podium finish yesterday by not attacking, I'm dissapointed that he didn't even try. Especially when he, Floyd and Lance had a break on Basso and Kloden on the final decent. He should have gone like a rocket and left Lance and Floyd when they hesitated. Yes I know that could have meant pulling Lance to the finish putting more time into Kloden, but he didn't even try. If he had tried and Lance didn't follow or couldn't he could have won the stage and made time on Basso. If he had tried and Lance did follow he could have shut it down to wait for Kloden. But he didn't even try. |
