Default Starting track racing - Melbourne Aus

I'm really interested in starting track cycling and was wondering if anyone can help me with a couple of questions.

Clubs etc.
I live in Melbourne (Richmond actually), and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good clubs nearby.

Coaching/Clinics
I am interested in getting some coaching etc, before I start, just to get used to track racing. I have ridden on the road a lot, I used to race (club level) in my teens and early twenties (I'm 32) and have attended quite afew track meets with uncles of mine who were fairly active at track racing, but have never raced on a track myself.

I know it's a bit early in the year for track, but I'd like to start my fitness training etc, now so I have a good base for the start of the season.

Cheers

Carnegie or Blackburn are probably the closest to you. I am in Coburg which is a few ks away. The DISC (indoor velodrome) in Darebin will be open soon so I assume it will be in use in a month or two, so it is not too early to start.

You should check out the aus.bicycle newsgroup in the Bike Cafe area..

Most clubs will have newbie sessions. Blackburn ran there's on Thu nights
at 6pm at the Blackburn velodrome.

Road is fine for that.
