Default bikepartsusa.com any good?

I got no responses in rec.bicycles.marketplace, so I'll try here.

I'm considering buying some parts from bikepartsusa.com...any
comments on them?

In addition to general comments, should I expect them to be helpful
in providing detailed specifications on items? I'm going to buy hubs
and spokes from them to build into some rims I have, but I'll need
to know the exact measurements from the hubs to determine the proper
spoke length.

I bought those straddle cables from them and had no problems. Only one
data point, I know, but it's a start.

I've bought stuff from them, and had no trouble. But, I knew what I
needed. I would not expect them to provide such specs for you. If you
want that kind of service, you need to go to a local shop, or a
full-service on-line place like Harris Cyclery.

Normally, I would, but I don't want to spend a single cent more than
necessary on this particular bike; I intend to buy a $7 rear hub and
a $3 front hub.

I've bought from them several times. Really good prices but you can't
expect tech info from them at those prices. You got to know want you
want. Best bet is to buy the hub first and do your own measurement, then
order the spokes.
