Great job of Jeker, winning the stage after doing most of the work in the final climb and flat miles to the finish. "Robert Chung" <me2@privacy.net> wrote in message news:c70e9c$gf755$1@ID-226327.news.uni-berlin.de... > The five guys in the lead group take over the top five on GC. > > |

Wait a minute - is this the same Nelissen that looked like the next blazing Cipollini with distance legs but couldn't sprint without ending up in hospital? |

Yeah. I don't know if he has or hasn't bike handling skills but, in this case, I think Hamilton caused his own box. I thought it interesting that his teammate, Valjavec, took the bonus second by throwing his bike to nip Hamilton for third. |

I guess that means he's speaking from experience (heh). Nelissen was a very strong sprinter, no doubting that. If he'd only learned to keep his head up while doing it. -- tanx, Howard "Moby Dick was a work of art, What the hell happened?" remove YOUR SHOES to reply, ok? |

No, this was Danny N. from Holland, no relation. Danny was a good rider too, last amateur world campion (in Bogotá, was it?) after he came back from having been forced to end his pro career due to heart problems. |

I think he wanted to get a cushion so he could get over those three cat 1's yesterday at his own pace. |

He had a go at Hamilton for wheel sucking after the descent though, didn't he? I hadn't realised he was his team mate at first, just saw that he was asking him to come through rather assertively. Phonak really didn't have to ride in the front group. Jeker, Piepoli and Cioni did have to in order to improve their GC standing. Jeff |
