They are recombinant bicyles and they have some very good health
benefits. You're simply ignorant.

Don't you find it odd that people who ride recumbent bikes tend to be
completely in shape and have like 1% body fat? I doubt that "laziness"
enters into it.

I've never seen a recumbent without its prerequisite geek attached.

There are a couple of paraplegic cyclists in my neighborhood that have
hand pedaled (cranked?) recumbents that might argue with you.

ITYM "pedal". Those lazy-ass bikes hold most of the world human
powered speed records.

The first recumbents appeared in the 1930s and were promptly banned
from racing because they were so much faster. The current vogue for
recumbents dates back to the 1980s and bikes like the Avatar 2000.
These days recumbents are sufficiently mainstream that even Giant are
building them (although many of us consider these to be semi-recumbent
really).

That looks so cool. I'd love to cruise the bike path on that.

And those rear view mirrors that attach to their glasses.

Did they top Fred Rompelberg's record?

Huh? Around here the only people I see riding those are old overweight people with helmet visors
and mirrors

'old' and 'overweight' does not go well with 80+mph

I want one of those. That'd be perfect for tooling around this cool little
Canadian town with all my Dutch neighbours. How much is that thing?
