Hi, I am planning on upgrading forks eventually but it's not in the cards
($$$) right now for the fork that I want. Until then I want to start accumulating the other accessories. I recall seeing an adaptor for a threaded fork to use an ahead style stem. I can't seem to be able to find one online and the LBS doesn't have one. Anyone know where I can get one, online or otherwise. TIA |

Performance Bike and Nashbar both carry adapters which let you use a threaded fork with stems designed for threadless. Is that what you mean? I've got one on my bike and it works fine; adds a few ounces of weight compared to a true threadless fork, but adds a lot of versatility. -- Remove the ns_ from if replying by e-mail (but keep posts in the newsgroups if possible). |
