I have put 36 hole Veloce hubs (9 spd) with Evolution rims (36 holes) laced
with straight gauge 14g stainless steel spokes onto my Cannondale Touring bike. I am wondering if these wheels are capable of supporting an average full touring load. I weigh about 180 lbs. What I am concerned with is are these wheels only good for racing or are they suitable for loaded touring as well. Any advice on what sort of loads these wheels are capable of handling would be greatly appreciated. At the moment I have Continental 23c Grand Prix mounted on them over Michelin rim tape. Thanks in advance for all useable help. Cheers. |
