Default bar shim and carbon bar question

I've got an easton carbon mtb bar and a road stem (salsa sul). Any
problems using a shim with the carbon bar? I'd rather not but salsa
doesn't make the mtb stem in the size I want, only the road version.
Thanks.

It's very important that you use a soda-pop can for this.

{pause}

BECAUSE IT'S CARBON-ATED!!!

I've posted two replies to this and neither has showed up; my sympathies to
the masses!

Oh, sure...NOW it works

Anyway, to the OP my original reply was as follows:

{pause}

BECAUSE IT'S CARBON-ATED!!!

(Guess I should've left it in ethernetland...)
