Default T-Mobile mistake

I don't really understand the details of the Tour and what's going on with scoring and whatnot.

Could someone please explain what the deal was with Ullrich and Zabel, and what was wrong with their finish?

They could have been talking about the green jersey competition for Wednesdays stage. A t-mobile rider who isn't even in the competition finished ahead of Zabel and took points away from him in that competition. It was a bonehead of the day award for sure. The green jersey competition is the sprinters competition for best sprinter.
