Default Magnus Backstedt Goes Home

Finally the biggest man in the Tour de France has abandoned the Tour. In stage 11, amidst the heat which has until now been all but absent in the Tour, and amidst the gluing effect on the tires of the pavement searing under the heat of the sun, Magnus throws in the towel. 90 kg is a lot of weight when the heat turns up.

Default Re: Magnus Backstedt Goes Home

Magnus has no need to worry about the heat when he gets home. it's been pouring down and miserable here since the Tour started :-(

i think the Tour has him at 98 kg.

damn shame

Unhappy Re: Magnus Backstedt Goes Home

That is always unfortunate. Hate to see a good rider going home in the middle of a grand tour. C'est la vie, I guess.
