Any advice on a beginner's road bike? My budget is <= $500. The bike
should have good shock absorption. It is mainly for daily commute (8-mi round-trip) and medium distance for cross-training purposes. |

After that, get one with fat tires so that you can get the cushy ride you are after. I would not suggest front shocks since they add weight and complication where it is not really necessary. --------------- Alex |

I would recommend going used if you can, but if you want new, the Fuji Ace fits this bill, and the League is about $550 with STI shifters. -- Remove the ns_ from if replying by e-mail (but keep posts in the newsgroups if possible). |
