Unfortunately, the reality of it all is that science is
open to interpretation. People tend to manipulate, or place undue emphasis on various aspects of the facts to forward their cause. Now I'm not saying these studies are right or wrong, just that the people who want to believe them (us at alt.mountain- bike) will agree with them, and those who want to discredit them (Mr V) will discredit them. I don't this it's very often that these studies actually convince someone to "switch sides". I think the important question is "Why does Mr V decide to come here and peddle (no pun intended) his theories?". There should be some acceptable science newsletter or magazine that would give him some paper to rant on. But it seems like he's wasting so much energy spewing his ideas here. Has anyone told him that we are all mountain bikers? "Yo! Mike! Sorry we can't pat you on the back for all your hard work, but we just don't appreciate it. Perhaps you should go elsewhere to get the credit you 'deserve'". Alpha Male PS - You don't see the Pope going into alt.satanism to try and bash those darned satanists... or do you?
