Everyone trues their rims....

Has anyone ever static and dynamic balanced their rims? Can
rims be balanced? how do you do it?

Adjust the hubs so that there's play. Rotate the axle back
and forth, reducing friction, until the heavy spot goes
down. Apply weight at the top. Spin the wheel to see if you
can feel if it's unbalanced. Adjust weights as necessary.
Readjust hubs until there's no play.

Nobody balances their wheels because the effect at the low
RPMs at which wheels spin aren't an issue.

If you are super anal you could balance them with a bubble
balancer but there's no reason to. If you have a reflector
or bike computer magnet, put it opposite the valve stem.
