I got one of these today, and I am not sure where to place
it. the instructions say in the centre on your belt or
pants, but do they mean the centre side or front or back?

Google for ''"how to use" pedometer'' and look at a
few links.

One shows a picture: page 4 of http://www.omron.com.sg/hcbpdf/personalwellness/HJ-
005.pdf.

Another suggests that the pedometer should be positioned "in
line with crease line of your trousers" See
http://www.sportline.com/manuals/345.pdf.
