Default Almanac

Is there an almanac for the TdF similar to a baseball
almanac that gives the names, bio, and palmares for each
rider in the Tour?

I checked the French TdF web site and didn't see one.

Thanks,

Mike

They don't have the rider list in an easily identifyable
place, but it is ther if you look hard enough.

http://www.letour.fr/2004/us/index.html in the right hand
menu, click on " The Race" and then "the pack" click on a
team name to get the rider list, and then a rider to view
his stats.

I'm hoping to find a book I can buy to carry around, but it
sounds like such a thing might not exist.

Trading cards would be good too.

Here's what you're looking for:

http://www.trap-friis.dk/cykling/tdf04.htm

The owner, Lars Trap Friis is not updating it again until
Sunday, but it's still the best source for what you're
asking that you'll ever find anywhere. I refer to it on a
daily basis.

Damn, that is such a good idea for next year. We have so
much racing expertise across several different countries it
would be so easy to assemble this information when the team
lists are announced and do a Web-based publication in a
browsable form. (All the information already exists; the
added value is putting it all together in one place.)

But then, I'm guessing that one reason this publication
would be so useful is that someone could then use it to make
informed comment about team tactics based on rider form and
abilities. And we wouldn't want that round here.
