Question Will Chipo finish the tour

I think its great to see Chipo in the Tour again. Unfortunately he has lost one of his lead outs already and has crashed as well. Do you think he will finish this year or at least try to climb a mountain. I hope he does. It was a real treat to see him in the Tour of Georgia this year in the States.

Mario never finished the Tour, I don't know how he will do it this year; as soon as he will see any mountains he will say 'ciao'; I don't think that he will be able to win any stage, the othe rriders are in better shape and much younger and don't forget Petacchi

I don't think he will finish the tour and I don't think he will win a stage either. The other sprinters are too strong and he hasn't had a good preperation. Petacchi hasn't looked that good so far either probably due to the fact he hasn't raced much since the Giro. He should improve though.

He was quoted as saying that if he was invited then he would finish. He supposedly stated this to Jean Marie.

We'll see though. Jan Kirsipu has supposedly never finished a Tour as well, and has numerous starts.

I like what I have seen from Cipo this year.
I believe he will not just quit as soon as the mountain stages arrive, finishing outside of the time limit would be one thing, but I think Cipo definitely plans on being there when the Tour rolls up in Paris

He'll probably focus on trying to finish now that he's realised the chances of getting a sprint win is looking more and more difficult.

You have to hand it to Chipo, he's a real Character, an asset to the Tour!!

Will he finish? who cares...if he ever wins a Stage his Teeth will deffinately get the Yellow Jersey, closely followed by Chippo himself (Is Chippo Italian for Chipmunk)

And here's Chippo himself>>> Ciao Bella!!!

I guess we know the answer to this question now. As usual, Cippolini and Petacchi both depart from the Tour. They head home to Italy on the same flight. It wasn't the mountains that got them this year. It was crashes. Too bad. As much as I hate to see them avoid the mountains, I'd rather have them do that than be involved and hurt in crashes.

I doubt it will make much differance, no one will touch Robbie this year, I think it would have been sad to see Chippo rolling along each day noone that he cant get close to the thing he dominated so well for so long. It was like watching Ali fight Holmes.

I heard Robbie saying that it didn't matter if Petacchi had his whole team lined up and helping him, that he would still win. He certainly is breaking the mold for a little guy, isn't he?
