I realize there are many sites with Tour de France coverage.
Could we get some opinions as to possibly the best three or four sites in peoples opinions? -- Thanks in advance... Bob |

How can you top the Official TdF site?
2nd and 3rd place podium go to www.cyclingnews.com/ and www.dailypeloton.com/tdfmain.asp w/ notable mentions: www.velonews.com/tour2004/ www.eurosport.co.uk/ |

Depends what type of "coverage" you want. For live audio coverage of the last two hours or so of each stage, OLN is my favorite. www.olntv.com Art Harris |

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately I'm still
working with my archaic dial-up connection. Not much streaming for this boy. Bicycling magazine also had a site. All of these give you a few lines of text every couple of minutes or so in a browser window you can keep in the background. Each year each site has been a little bit different, which makes sense because the technology is evolving. This makes it hard to predict which will be the best site in 2004 from 2003 and earlier performance. |

Bob Where can I learn more about the ins-&-outs of the strategy, plus the subtleties and how to be a "better" observer/supporter? --M. Powell |
