I'm looking for a chrome YELLOW(school bus YELLOW) bent bike with USSsystem.I have never ridden a bent bike but I know I don't want my arms hanging up in the air when I ride, hence my choice of steering. I intend on trying out several bikes before I buy. Does anyone know anything about the Optima or Lightning bikes and do both have USS systems. I know I'm picky, but when you pay good money for a bike I think you should be able to get it in your choice of colour; besides it would match my kayak and look soooo cool on my car. Also I often carry a seakayak on my car and I would need rack advice for carrying a bent while the kayak is also up top. Linda

I just got an Actionbent Road Runner II in yellow. Looks great, rides great. It did take some doing putting it together, but it was no problem as I used to ride road bikes a lot and did my own mechanic work. I am just getting back into cylcling after a 10 year layoff. I had a disc removed from my neck 10 years ago and have not been able to ride a regular road bike. But I can ride the 'bent ! I love it. |

Hi, If youre actually considering an actionbent there are some things youd need to make sure of before you bid or order thats for sure. There is an actionbentnallrecumbents {name of group} on yahoo, and youre welcome to stop over and get the real scoop on them and others that you may be considering. I hope this helps. Smile. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////. I am a member of that forum. After owning my RoadRunner for several months, I am still very much satisfied with it. It's a great bike, especially for the price.

I agree yellow is a cool color. When the paint started falling off my V-Rex, I had it powder coated yellow. It looks great and I'm quite sure it's at least several mph faster now! Well, maybe not... but it sure looks faster! ![]() |
