Default What happend to Vision?

Guess I've been out of the loop for a while. Been pretty
busy for quit some time and found out my project is
killed, I think.

I finally got some extra cash and was going to try and put
Vision's IPS on my Ryan Duplex. I headed off to my LBS to
order up the IPS and he tells me that everything was sold
off about 6 to 8 weeks ago. What happened? I thought they
were one of the bigger companies that would prevail.

Does anyone know if someone else bought the patient for
the IPS and is going to make it available again? Or.....
does somebody have one setting on the shelf that I could
get my hands on?

Any help or info on what's going on would be nice.

Thanks, Bill 96 Vanguard, 99 Duplex

Size is no asset- look at BikeE.

Vision went belly-up at the beginning of the year after
money woes overwhelmed them. 2003 was not good- they laid
off most of their people and didn't appear at Interbike.
Their assets were auctioned off in March.

Hostel Shoppe used to list the IPS cranks in their catalog.
Don't get your hopes up- I think tandem part production was
one of the reasons they one of the reasons they weren't able
to produce bikes.

The IPS was licenced to J&B Importers, and according to
Hostel Shoppe it will be available any month now...

Do you know if J&B has a web site or email so I could
contact them? Does anyone know anything about J&B Importers?

Of course now my better half has found something else to
spend the money on so I might be waiting again.

From the website, "If you are a consumer with a parts
question, please contact your local bike shop. J&B
Importers, Inc. is a wholesale distribution center and does
not have the staff to offer any techincal (sic)
assistance."

Maybe they would trade some "techincal" assistance for some
web-site editing??
