Has anyone here done the Quick Clense 15 day detox program? If so how was your cycle training affected? I wasnt aware before i bought the kit that you basically have to eat like a rabbit would for 15 days. And no diet coke for that long is going to hurt. Heres the link for anyone not familiar with it. http://www.totallynatural.com.au/quickcleansedetox.htm

Friends don't let friends detox and cycle. A detox diet and cycling don't mix. If detoxing is that important detox first and then begin riding again; 15 days without riding won't kill you, riding while detox may send you to an early grave (literally and figuratively).
Or, may I suggest that if you are hell bent on cleaning your system while cycling switch your diet to a "live" one, which means that you only eat foods that are alive (fruits, vegatables and the like) versus dead like cereal, breads, pastas, rice and potatoes. Oh yea, one more thing - stay close to home and don't plan any sprints.

As a personal trainer, chemist and human with working brain, I reckon detox diets are a load of hooey designed to make money for the detox gurus.
Clean up your diet, plan your exercise and get plenty of sleep and you will be way ahead of any whinging prat on a detox diet My .02

Well said. The whole concept behind what is and what is not a "toxin" in these diets is very amusing and very non-scientific. |
