Default Shifting problems xt rear

I have a Kona Explosif with grip shift x-ray shifters and xt rear. its an 8 speed. I have to move my shifter 2 clicks to move one gear. then move shifter back one click to allign it. is there an ajustment for this or is my cable just to streached? the derailleur is 8sis or8 515
can you help??

can you help??
Check the repair section at www.parktool.com derailer adjustment. could be nothing more than cable tension. That's the place to start and the possible cheap fix. That assumes the shifters are compatible with the RD. If it came from the factory that way, it's a good bet they are.

The web site got me on track. Took some tinkering but working good now. Also found some other good tips there.
