For ****s Sake!
Get over eBay, everyone has their own opinion. Anyway, yeah. I think i'll look into the Scott Expert Racing (clicky.... Theres only 2 things I dont like about that bike - the forks and the brakes. I think as soon as I get it, i'll upgrade the forks to Manitou Blacks' or Rockshox Pilot SL. Anyone know the prices for either of those? And for the brakes i'm thinkin Hayes HFX-9 XC. Personally im not a big fan of the Pilot or the Blacks, bit too stiff for my taste, and a little on the heavy side. As for the breaks, im not too sure those wheels are discbreak compatible, though I could be wrong. Might want to make sure, if not I would go with the Avid Ti's. Don't see many scott's on the trails, but overall it is a pretty good set up if you replace that Judy pretty quick. Good luck with it! |

If Bill (the owner of the local bike shop/friend) says that those hubs arn't disc, i'm sure he'd give me a good deal on some that are. And for those forks, i'm also thinking Dukes, but that would mean i'd have to do a little more saving than planned.
Also, that bike is only $1400 australian. |

E-bay has local sites world wide. Most sellers will ship international and usually somwhere on screen will be a currency conversion. When you do a search one of the feilds asks you what currency you want the results in. Of course all the usual warnings, ask questions, check out the buyer, if there is the whiff of dodgy deal dont do it, its your money dont throw it away. That said I have bought from the US, UK and Aus and had no trouble, buying motorbike parts and Thomas the tank engine bits( the kids are too little for pushies or motorbikes yet). Cheers. ![]() |
