His winning two stages in the Tour after the punishment of the Giro is suspicious enough. But beyond targeting him for tests, there is nothing much that can be done...

true. I wish I believed there was a chance he is riding clean.

The gap between Piti and the yellow jersey is supposedly coming down. It is around 15 sec currently.

Certainly looks like either him or Ricco for the stage if they bring Di Gregorio back. Piepoli looked not so comfortable at the back of the group.

Also, noticed Vandevelde was easily able to move up the group at the top of the Tourmalet. Quite surprising.

Cancellera pulling like a mad man to keep the Valverde group from getting back to the front group and the gap is growing.

Does it matter? Unless his team slipped something special in his musette, when the road turns upward he is a goner. I guess Piti died along with Tugboat.

It is a question of how much time he is going to lose. If he is 1:30 (current gap thanks to Cancellara and CSC putting down the hammer) behind while starting the Hautacam, how much time will he lose by the end of this stage?

Voight and Cancellera are opening a significant gap, well over a minute now so Valverde, Kreuziger, Devolder (he might not even be in the Valverde group but further back) and Cunego's podium chances could end today.

It looks like we can write off all the contenders in the chase group.

The Schleck bros, Sastre, Evans, Menchov are looking good. I think Kirchen and Vande Velde will blow up.

Cancellara still setting the pace up front like a madman. Gregorio is only about 35 sec ahead of the yellow jersey, while Piti's group is almost 2:40 behind.

Andy lost a minute to Evans in the first ITT. Frank lost an additional forty-five secs. So they need some time on Evans.

Good rides by Cobo, Kohl, Duenos and Nibali to be in that group along with the normal suspects. Also an Euskatel rider there but not sure who it is?
