Cav gets a pull from the medical car for a kilometre while they put a bandaid on that elbow.

Break has a 1'14" now... how long will they stay away?

Freire, Feillu and Pozzato get 6, 4 and 2 points respectively in the first sprint. So, Freire will move up over Kirchen in the points table, and will thus snatch the green jersey.

If Kirchen blows up in the climbs, he will end up losing two jerseys.

Looked at Hansen's SRM - HR 130bpm, 600W, 99 cadence.

Holy crap.

I think the gc contenders will attack evans because he will be sore, and the main gc contenders are all 40 plus seconds behind him.

Fair enough, they are all concerned about the final TT I am certain. Let us see how well Evans does today and whether the other GC contenders have it in them to make serious attacks.

I think some spectators were mooning the riders!

Well, the break has split up, seven guys still out front... Cancellara (CSC), Dupont (ALM), Fothen (GST), Freire (RAB), Di Gregorio, Roy (FDJ) et Duque (COF).

All the others are back in the group...

Is there a reason why Cancellara is working hard in the break? The gap to the peloton is just over 30 sec.

Don't know... as a reference point for an attack by Sastre or one of the Schlecks?

Gone up to 2:20 due to the peloton taking a nature break.

Freire picks up another 6 points in the 2nd sprint, and now has a 8 point lead over Kirchen. Gap up to 3:15.

I think we will see the peloton blown apart and fragmented today.
Ricco reminded me of Pantani the way he took off yesterday. Amazing!

I am very curious to see if he has it in him (and if the peloton allows him) to do something similar again today...
