Evans doing most of the work in the favourites' group. Menchov a bit as well; he looks comfortable. Valverde 4'30" + down.

I can't believe VandeVelde is still in the Evans/Menchov group. He looked in slight trouble at one point but hanging good for now.

Meanwhile, way back, Cunego has just caught and passed Piti.

1:50 between the front trio and Evans group; 1 min between Evans group and Kirchen (he is isolated).

And Goubert (who?) comes back to the favorite's group!

And previous unknown Duenos is there too.

Does Ricco attack in the final K, to make GC possible?

Schleck might end the day with nearly a minute on Evans. He'll need another two, maybe more, to offset the final ITT.

Cunego looks like he is climbing pretty well. Maybe he found his climbing legs a little late.

Schleck is just about virtual yellow at this point. Cobo and Ricco will move way up the standings.

Unreal, going to be a Saunier-Duval 1-2! Imagine the alarm bells if Ricco went forward for a top-3 sweep

Cunego is trying to limit his losses. He has just passed A. Schleck. But he is almost 2:40 minutes behind the Evans group.
