TFF, there is one problem with following your method of muting the TV and listening to the Eurosport audio feed, and that is that there is a significant time delay between the feed and the video...

Yea, that was an unforseen problem because I was just listening when I wrote that yesterday. I am away on vacation and there is no TV. I was assuming that they would be the same. Guess I was wrong. I wonder if it will sync with the video on the internet better.

I did see some of the video yesterday, but couldn't listen to both simultaneously because I only have my tablet with me. Today, I am going to wait to watch until this afternoon when I get home.

The delay between the TV and internet audio is about 1 min (as determined from the commercial breaks since the TV is also Eurosport). I expect it to sync better with internet video since there is likely to be a delay in any internet feed.

Why exactly is Caisse d'Epargne leading the chase? Do they really want to keep the yellow jersey all the way from now to Paris???

BTW, is Soler riding or has he pulled out?

Interesting statstic: the number of successful breakaways in flat stages was 1 in 2005, 2 in 2006 and 3 in 2007.

Moreau and Lelay have joined Chavanel and Voeckler in the front. But I'm skeptical that the break will succeed.

Ok, Soler is still riding. But he is suffering, and has fallen behind the peloton. So, it may only be a matter of time before he pulls out.

Looks like it will be a tight finish. Only 5 km to go and still a 30 sec gap. The peloton seems to be hammering down now, but it is not clear whether they will catch the break on time.

The break is almost caught, but Chavanel shoots off in the front.

Another nice finish!

So looks like thumper beats you again Cranky. Hushovd takes the win followed by Kirchen and Ciolek.

Soler just came in. He has lost another 7:20 min.

I would think he'd abandon at this point.

Why? If he can soldier on until he feels better (that is a big assumption, I know) he would then be in a great position to go for stage wins.
