Why would you bother taking them otherwise?

Actually smart bodybuilder aren't eating tons of yolks, and lots of
what they are getting for egg protein is coming in supplement form
with the protein seperated out and minimal fat and cholesterol, but he
had to be reading way too mauch Arnold and old school. Not so much the
eggs but ungodly amounts of red meat which I'm sure had a huge impact.
He never used a nutritionist or studied nutrition, he just went the
steaks, beer, roids, and dieuretics route.
One of the thimngs he talks about, and it's probably related is that
he never won any of the big pro shows which tend to happen in late
summer/fall. he was always amazing in the spring, but could never peak
again later in the year.
There really are a lot of similarities in personality traits,
bodybuilders tend to be ego-centric loner types too. There's the same
tunnel vision, and addiction to the physical activity, the need to
build a base and cycle training for targeted peaks. The easy cheats
with drugs. One of the things he talks about was that he has some
regrets, but treated it like a business, and did more than a thousand
paid personal/guest appearances, advertisments, etc...and made enough
to be pretty comfortable for life. He has a Weider contract at
$50,000+ for 15 years too because he was so Pro about the business
stuff. He's really shaking his head about what we'd call the $15K
dreamers who spent the cash on drugs, wrecked their bodies, and that
was too look good in the gym, and do local shows.
Sounds a lot like the Master/wannabe parking lot crit hero doesn't
it?
I had lots of chances to bag just about any drug out there, and am
really glad that I decided it just wasn't worth the expense, or health
risk. I wasn't gonne be a star, and I sure as hell wasn't gonna do it
to be a local legend. It's tough though when you see people you've
trained with, and were better than, just go shooting by you.
