Don't be confused that I'm confused.

AO? That candle looks mighty burnt from here. I'll never get the
raccoon eyes thing, I guess.

One of these days SoS is going to discover Mencious Moldbug, and his
rhetoric here is just going to get way, way crazier.

That's because "all humans are scum."

But Ryan was actually referring to this:

Yes.

ical-phenomenon.html>

-minded-progressives.html>

It would have been easier to find had I spelled it properly.

I don't actually think Mencius Moldbug is _right_, per se, but I think
he is wrong in maddeningly fascinating ways.

In my dark moments, I suspect he's a moderate conservative's Naomi Klein
or Noam Chomsky: you think you disagree with him, but his ideas are
devilishly attractive.

He mentions violence and has little to say about it.
I propose the formal view of violence: an individual
condones, incites, offers, and does violence because
he feels like it.

So if someone was beating you and attempting to take your wallet, and
you defended yourself by fighting back, it would be because "you felt
like it"?

I propose the formal view of not just violence, but a formal
philosophy of life: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto
you." From this flows "enlightened self-interest".
